Start plan from user waypoint?

I can't see how to do this. If I right-click on one of the OZx airstrips, I don't get the 'start flightplan at airport x' option. Is this possible?

There are ways to do it (start from a proper airport, add the waypoint, then delete the start, for example). But Plan-G does not give you the option to start the plan at a waypoint for the simple reason that FS won't open any flightplans created that way.

Ah, okay. I had thought of adding a dummy leg but it never occurred to me to delete it! I still think it might be a useful option for those who want to fly from little airstrips. Can an FSX flight plan even include user-defined waypoints? My experience is that when flying out of little OZx strips and the like I just can't use the GPS. I don't know if the FSX flight planning has any other use than loading a route into the GPS, so this might be more important than I'm getting.

Mark,

I get around this by creating an "empty" AFCAD file for the field, it just contains the field co-ordinates and your chosen ICAO code. The resulting .BGL will be read by FS,  it will show up as an airfield in the FS menus, and you can start and end flights there.

Yes, an FSX flight plan can include user defined waypoints, just so long as they are not the origin or destination.

Thanks both, some things to think about there.
