Good Day Tim

I have been trying to connect Plan G (running on a DELLXPS13) to my X Plane 11 sim (on an i7 Desktop). I have installed XPUIPC and XWideClient. XPUIPC appears in X Plane Plugins. It is not yet working but somewhere along the line I noticed that the Start Position tab in Plan G Home view is grayed out. Is this a known problem with either XPUIPC or XWideClient?  Or do I need to look somewhere else?

Regards

No, that's not connected.
You need to look at the log file (My Documents/Plan-G Files) and see if an error condition is reported when you attempt the connection.

Hello Tim
I have finally got Plan G working on my networked system with X-Plane 11. It is great!
I am now trying to import FSX airspace into Plan G. I found your post that this is possible but have no idea where in FSX to find said files or how to get this done.
Can you kindly point me in the right direction?

You do it all in Plan-G, not FSX.

Build the FSX (or P3d) database.
Got to Data Tools on the Data tab. Export Data.
Switch to the X-Plane Database.
Go back to the Data Tools dialog. Import Data.

Simples. ;)

Hi Tim
I managed to (almost) successfully export FSX Airspace Data from FSX on an an old hard drive and import it into Plan-G X-Plane 11 Database on the new PC.  However, all the other detail disappeared ...unless the import somehow cleared the Map Ribbon selections and I missed it?  Guess I should repeat the exercise and make sure it wasn't a matter of just deselecting the missing objects? Or have i missed something ...again?

Restart Plan-G. Sometimes these things just get cleared off the map, and restarting will bring them back.
