Hello, I have gone through the all plan G Manual and many forums related to connecting XPUIPC with XPWideClient on a networked PC to run Plan G remotely. Still I can't find what's wrong. Plan G is a great map. Is there any one who can review my step by step check and help me find out ? Thank you !!

My config

XPlane PC
Windows 10, IP address 192.168.1.80
Xplane.exe and folder installed on desktop (C:\Users\xxxx\Desktop\X-Plane 10)
Xplane run as administrator mode
Windows firewall off temporarily for the check
XPUIPC Plugin installed : Version 2.0.5.9 ini file
[XPUIPC SETTINGS]
Tune value = 00
Server Address = 192.168.1.80
XPUIPC2XPUIPC Client mode = No

Remote PC
Windows 10, IP address 192.168.1.54
Windows firewall off temporarily for the check
Plan G installed on C: drive directly and executed as administrator
Connection FS parameter set to XPUIPC
XPWideClient.exe and XPWideClient.ini installed both on same folder directly on C:drive and executed as administrator
XPWideClient Version 2.0.0.3 ini file

[Network Settings]
IP Address of THIS PC = 192.168.1.54
IP Address of server = 192.168.1.80
Note : XHSI works perfectly as remote PFD on that same PC

Router Set-up/network checks
Both UDP and TCP open for 192.168.1.54 and 192.168.1.80 for port 54942 (his is the port I found out for XPUIPC)
Netstat command on both computer shows UDP port 54942 open
XPlane plugin shows sending multicast on the right IP but 0 clients
XPWideClient status and log says not connected

WideClient Log
Create FS98MAIN Window OK!
Register UIPCMain Call message OK!
Connection status thread running
20:01:49:575 Waiting for UDP from server
20:01:49:575 Status INIT
20:01:49:590 granting multicast to 192.168.1.54
20:01:49:590 Status NOT_CONNECTED
20:01:52:138 Closing connection to server OK
20:01:52:232 Closing connection status thread

XPUIPC Plugin log attached separately. Some socket threads initiated. But WPWideClient never wakes up.

thank you !!!!

Did you install WideClient on the correct PC?

It sounds like you installed it on the X-Plane PC instead of the Plan-G (client) PC.

Hi, Thank you for helping me.
Yes I confirm that WideClient.exe is installed on the remote PC (Plan-G) which is 192.168.1.54.
What is the log that drove you to this question ?
thks,
jb

Plan-G connects to the client, which does its stuff. In general, it just works. Unless the client wasn't installed (which has always been the case in the support issues that I've seen up to now.)

Anything else is beyond my knowledge I'm afraid, and you should seek help from the XPUIPC support people.
