Okay I am new but the yellow color plane is not moving on the map it is staying at the airport that I started from even though i have flown already from it... I am connected to fs2004. Am I missing something? I just want to follow my plane on the map. in plan-g... help help help!!!!

Is Plan-G on the FS9 machine or on a networked PC?

On the Home Ribbon, when you click on the "Connect" button, does it become greyed-out, and does the "Disconnect" button darken?

Please post your FS Connection configuration from the Options dialogue.

And send your Plan-G_Log.txt log file.

We'll get you sorted!

the connect has greyed out and the disconnect is brighter and when i move my cursor over the disconnect button it changes to yellow. In the fs connection general     It connects with fsuipc. Fsdisplay is set to synch (user aircraft)  with trail marker on.  Here is my log txt:

Try disconnecting and reconnecting -- that will often kick it back into life.

nope that does not work.... sorry all I want to use this program for is just like the map inside fs2004. Just to see and follow where I at on the map currently.......

okay when I disconnect and then reconnect the plane is placed in the current position where I am flying....but it does not move. I have to disconnect and reconnect again to see it advance to a different spot on the map (it does not move though).

It looks like your FSUIPC is not working correctly. It is seeing the AI aircraft, but it's not getting weather nor sending the User Aircraft position to Plan-G.

You may have to update your (free) version of FSUIPC. It's at version 3.93 on the Peter Dowson page:

Maybe Tim Arnot has some other ideas...

Can you please try re-installing Plan-G somewhere closer to the root of the drive? Can you install to C:\Plan-G?

I am thinking maybe Plan-G and FSUIPC are having trouble exchanging messages through so many layers of file system.

I don't think the number of layers should make much difference, but the fact that it's installed on the desktop might: I have a feeling that Windows treats the desktop as a protected place, and might well be restricting what P-G can do. Move P-G to a documents folder and run it from there.
