Two of each plane visible when on vatsim?

When I log into vatsim with plan G running I see two of each vatsim plane, a red one and a blue one. The red one disappears if I disconnect plan G from FSX. Is this normal? Should I fly on vatsim with FSX disconnected?

If your Vatsim client injects traffic to FSX, then you don't need both active at the same time.

Thanks. I see, it gets the data twice if you turn vatsim on as well as connect.
