Launching either Plan-G version 3 or 4 while moving mouse pointer over the map screen or over the icons from top, it shows distorted on and off. What can be the solution?

Ive never seen that happen, so I don't know what could cause it. Does it stay in the same place if you move the window? Or does it move with the window? What if you scroll around the map?

Do you have the Plan-G window on the same monitor as Flight Simulator? and if so, it it covering up the sim? (and does the distortion correspond to the covered area? Flight simulators are well known for messing with the graphics of other programs that try to cover them - that's about all I can think of.

Thanks for the video, that was useful. Ok, so it happens in dialogs and ribbons as well as on the map. The way it happens seems like it may be hardware related. Plan-G only make standard UI draw calls - there's no fancy rendering going on. Does this happen with any other software?

Yes, It happens also with P3Dv4.5 Scenario Startup Menu weird graphics while hovering the mouse pointer over the Options and others selections.

From Prepar3d.cfg file I resolved with a change:

[USERINTERFACE]
UIHardwareAcceleration=False

default is:
UIHardwareAcceleration=True

Can it be the mouse? If so, it should be the similar weird graphics in FSX, P3Dv5, XP11 and/or MSFS, all from my same machine.

Ok, so it is a hardware issue. I'll see if I can do a similar thing to P3D and disable hardware acceleration, in the next update.

Installed the last version Plan-G v4.0.0.252 and still exactly the same graphic changing weird. The Plan-G v3.2.2.167 has graphic problem as well but not drastic as the v4.
I think a Windows 10 KB#### Update did change something making such issue.

Found booting Windows 10 Pro to a Safe Mode the Plan-G v4 works flawless but not in normal load. That's really a nightmare.

I've found a setting to change, that (hopefully) will help. I'll post a link here when it's done, so you can try it. Might not be this weekend though, as I'm tied up with building work.

Upgraded Windows 10 to Windows 11 and the Plan-G v4 UI problems still. The Plane-G v3 has some YI problems too but less annoying then v4.

Please give this build a try (link below). There's a new checkbox in Options/General that enables/disables hardware acceleration. You might need to restart Plan-G after changing it (it should be okay for new draws, but it won't fix anything that has already glitched). Please let me know if it works for you.

I did another try with ver4.253 and It appears the UI graphics has been resolved thanks to your magic touch, cool!
But, here I have a short video showing something rare ...

After selecting the files locations it pop-ups back to the main map screen. It doesn't stay in Options page.
VOR and NDB icons not shown in the map.

Thanks, I'll look into what's going on with the files locations (btw, you shouldn't really need most of them - unless you're having a problem - apart from X-Plane, it can pull everything from the registry)

Regarding the VORs and NDBs, if you do a search (Home -> Find->VOR etc), does it find them? ie, are they present in your database?

Files Locations is an issue but I am OK with that so far.
Regarding on the VORs and NDBs I did a Search and it was blank line. But, curiosusly I remembered about the black runways and I turned Off the "Runway Overlays" in Airport marker options. So, after that yes I was be able to see VORs and NDBs and also the Search worked showing me the ICAO as normal.
It seems to me V4.253 is working fine and just only to figure about Files Locations to tell the Plane-G where are located the asking files.

I keep the version 3.2 just in case if I forget the configurations (lol). Well, is it posible to add the feature "Use Hardware Graphics Accelaration" in Plan-G ver 3.2?

Sadly, no. v3.2 was archived some time ago.
