Editing a flight plan with in Plan-G - Question

Thanks to Jeff I now have Plan G on my laptop connected to the desktop FSX is on. When Plan G is up and running while I am flying, am I able to edit my flight plan to a new/closer airport then I had originally planned? Then be able to have FSX update as well so I get directed to the new/closer airport by ATC?

You can change the flight plan in Plan-G at any time - just remember to save it where your FS PC can find it (I have a network share to my FS PC's 'My Documents\Flight Simulator X files' folder). You will need to reload the plan in FS.

Ah, that answers my question. I was hoping FS would automatically update it.
