I've got Plan-G installed on my W-7 computer and am trying to connect to FSX in my Vista 64 bit computer.  I am using the IPv6 protocol.  I have installed a simconnect.xml file in the same folder as my fsx.cfg file.  Here is the simconnect file I wrote by copying and pasting from the manual section 10.2.2

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0">
  <Descr>SimConnect</Descr>
  <Filename>SimConnect.xml</Filename>
  <SimConnect.Comm>
      <Disabled>False</Disabled>
      <Protocol>IPv6</Protocol>
      <Scope>link-local</Scope>
      <MaxClients>64</MaxClients>
      <Address>fe80::c94e:603b:d9c3:d6b 1%10</Address>
      <Port>4506</Port>
    </SimConnect.Comm>
  </SimBase.Document>

I have tried using the above address in the Plan-G options panel and simply using the computer name.  I still get the "time out" screen.  Yes, FSX is running at the time.  Do I need to be in any certain window in FSX before trying to connect Plan-G?
Any other ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

The " 1%10" on the end of the IP6 address shouldn't be there.

Can you provide a screenshot of your connection settings in Plan-G?

Here's a shot Tim.  Sorry about the size, Imageshack is not being cooperative today.
I have tried using the IPv6 address as well as the computer name.

Here are two other shots showing the location of the xml file and the xml file as written:

Assuming the address is correct, everything looks okay. It's worth checking that it's not being blocked by firewall, Norton or other NetNanny nastiness...

Ok Tim, I'll check around further on this end.
