Hello tim,

My name is Reinaldo.

I have a project to develop a Virtual Electronic Charts.

I think the idea is simple, here we go:

It is very similar to this project: http://www.airbrief.com

I have been designing the hardware and I need a programmer to develop the software.

The software: User choose the charts you would like to view SID, STAR, etc..
and then the software would plot the aircraft of the FS on the map. The idea is to make sure the pilot is doing the correct procedures.

Can you help?

Thanks.

Reinaldo

Interesting project, Reinaldo. I can't help with the software, but I'm curious -  why do you need special hardware to read/display the charts, if you are targetting VIRTUAL pilots, not REAL-LIFE pilots(like AirBrief does). FSMap, for example, displays your charts directly on the FS Panel, or in a window on the FS screen, even in full-screen mode.

Good luck!

I don't have a clear idea of what you are after by doing this, but armchair pilots have Plan-G and http://skyvector.com/. That's all I need, personally. With my laptop next to me, I'm set.
