I set up SimConnect on my game computer and have Plan-G on a different computer that does not have FSX installed on it.  SimConnect and Plan-G are working great......except......I can not build a FSX database or access FSX Flight Plans on the Game computer.

Is there a way to connect to that data......like mapping a drive or something?

Thanks for any help.

See manual page 14.

You can also build the database on the FS computer and copy it across.

For flight plans, you need to share 'My Documents\Flight Simulator X files' on the FS PC, and save your work there. Or use explorer to copy the plans across.

It doesn't say anything about that on page 14 (oh wait yeah it does but for some reason adobe goes to page 7 when i type page 14). I'm trying to figure out how to get the database working on my laptop connected to my FS computer. Plan-g is connecting, but option to build database is grey. Reading the instructions now....

Okay I shared my scenery.cfg location, pointed my networked computer to it in locations in fsx scenery.cfg and build database is still greyed out. Man I've been trying to get this to work for like 2 hours, getting frustrated quick. Please help.

Fixed. You need to share THE MAIN FSX PROGRAM directory and select it in program locations on the PC you are trying to run Plan-G on. This really isn't obvious. I was misled into thinking the networked PC only needed to know the location of scenery.cfg
