Tim
I still cannot connect to the network. I am running FSX on Windows 7 (Desktop) and Plan G on XP (Laptop). My IP address is 192.168.0.115. My Plan G FS Connections are: IPv4, 192.168.0.115, Port 4510. I can connect with Plan G loaded on my FSX machine but not with my laptop loaded with Plan G.

My Simconnect. xml file is:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?>
<SimBase.Document Type="SimConnect" version="1,0">
<Descr>SimConnect</Descr>
<Filename>SimConnect.xml</Filename>
<SimConnect.Comm>
  <Disabled>False</Disabled>
  <Protocol>IPv4</Protocol>
  <Scope>global</Scope>
  <Address>192.168.0.115</Address>
  <MaxClients>64</MaxClients>
  <Port>4510</Port>
  <MaxRecvSize>4096</MaxRecvSize>
  <DisableNagle>False</DisableNagle>
</SimConnect.Comm>
</SimBase.Document>

Any idea what the problem may be?

Many thanks
John

Double check the IP address is correct -- for the FSX PC, not the laptop. Also make sure there are no firewalls/antivirus blocking it. Then triple check the IP address. And make sure you have the same settings in the Plan-G connection dialog.

Got it thanks.

1. Enabled firewall.
2. I had simconnect.xml in FSX root folder. It pays to read the manual (it was a bit daunting). Suggest simplier explanations for dummies like me.

Great support Tim, many thanks.
