Plan-G on Win7(64) updates current
IE 8.0.7600.16385
UAC off
FSX w/acceleration
Plan-G location in user subfolder (not programs)
FSUIPC4 available and installed
connection (auto)
antivirus not in ongoing monitor mode

my case is similar to granpa's
http://www.tasoftware.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=924.0
but I get NO image from the htm file or Plan-G
I hope it's not just a grandfather 'thing'.

I've gotten much too dependent on this amazing utility; it works fine on the same hardware under XP with FSX sp1. I would like to get it working on W7(64) with FSX-Acceleration

If you get nothing from the googlehtml file (it is just opening a link to google maps), that definitely points to something blocking it -- you should see a simple full page map of England.

Tim,

When IE wouldn't open other maps, I found Java(script) needed to be on... hadn't realized it was still off - I don't use W7 yet for much except FSX.

We're good to go. Thanks

I have sort of a similar problem with win7 and PlanG.
Install was no problem. Followed the User manual page by page. PlanG is exactly what I want and what I need. Except that...

...when I connect PlanG with FSX (single computer, each program screen side by side) the previously loaded flight plan in FSX appears in PG and then both screen go blank, the whole computer seems to freeze and I get a message that PG has ceased to respond and that I have to shut it.
Connexion option is on AUTO (tried with Simconnect radio button, but nothing happens), pipe
local host. I have FSUIPC already installed and is shown in the FSX addon drop-down menu. Is there a possible conflict here with Simconnect? I really want this to work.

Another problem is that after downloading the necessary elevation tiles and copying them in the apropriate PG folder, the Plan Elevation option sqare remains grayed out.
Please HELP
mariemai

EDIT: Got the message DISPLAY DRIVER STOPPED RESPONDING followed by another message that says that PlanG stopped responding. Video card is NVIDIA GFORCE 120

Can you post the Plan-G log file? Thanks.
