Plan-G v4.2

Post by Tim »

Apologies if you had problems trying to download the build 182 update over the past couple of days. This was the result of the file size becoming too big for the forum's download manager (blame Windows bloat!). So I've had to switch to a stronger compression algorithm to get the filesize back below the limit. Hopefully the download should be fine now.

Also, recommend you use an unzip tool such as 7Zip or WinRar, rather than the built-in Windows one.

Here's the full changes list over the previous 272 release:

v4.2.0 (build 282)
* Options tabs reordered
* Fixed problem with OSM UserAgent string
* Fixed error building MSFS airports that had a projected mesh record right at the start (e.g. Kai Tak)
* Fixed error exporting MSFS flight plan with certain single-digit start runways
* Added Support for Prepar3D v6
* Fixed P3Dv5 aprons had latitudes & longitudes transposed during database build (resulted in bad airport diagrams)
* Consolidated database icons on the data ribbon
* Updated P3D data icon
* Database build dialog now has radio buttons for P3D version
* Hidden Path Settings button on build dialog as too many people screwed things up by messing with paths
(you can still get there from Options if you REALLY need to)
* Fixed flight plan did not load into MSFS if start runway had a right/left designator
* IncludeAprons state is now logged when building MSFS
* IncludeAprons now defaults to FALSE
* Fixed XPLANE 12 DB build was missing cycle info
* Fixed MSFS build treated Navigraph airports as addons
* Now looks at "objects" bgls, since there are sometimes addon airports embedded in them
* Added option to not include aprons on MSFS database build (for low memory situations)
* Some bgl cleanup while in search of the elusive msfs tacan
* Fixed syntax of intersections in MSFS export was sometimes interpreted as a user waypoint in the sim.
* Fixed toggle units on/off for the flightplan window would show Distance in the Grounsdpeed column
* Fixed XPlane database build was showing LOC and GS as separate feathers on the same runway
* Publish now correctly set for Self-Contained deployment
* Changed dependencies to .Net 7 as 5 was not installed on the new PC and is also out of support
* Updated splash screen
* MS libraries updated to EF7 in line with .Net
* Database array value improvements for better memory handling (includes table changes) - airspace and apron vertices
* v4.2 databases renamed to avoid data conflicts with earlier versions
* Added option (in "Units") to show / hide units within the flight plan list panel
* Fixed Changed Mapbox credentials not used until after a restart
* Fixed direct copy of Mapbox style ID from the Mapbox Studio Share screen sould result in a malformed URL
* Fixed duplication of "Subscription Maps" on Map Provider selection dialog
* X-Plane database version now remembered between sessions
* Fixed Sometimes the wrong X-Plane build button was selected on entering the build DB dialog
* Fixed entering an X-Plane path on the build Settings panel would cause a mismatch between version number and path with multiple X-Plane installs
* Redundant X-Plane path box removed
