As in the past, deleted the previous version and install the new. It always worked.
The new version failed, even after a couple of re-tries, with no luck. I have re-installed the previous version with no issues, see attachment. Thank you for your input.

I had the same problem.
I had deleted the old version file and copied the new version into the same folder so the same desktop shortcut could be used - This did not work.
I then copied the folder as is and created a new shortcut to the program and it worked.

This is possibly because Plan-G now uses information from the shortcut to determine the location of the data folder.
Unfortunately, you can blame Microsoft conning people into storing their Documents folder in the Cloud for that.

Thank you, as always you hit the nail's head. Microsoft has been moving everything to the cloud; I just logged out of OneDrive.
All sorted, now working as before.
