.pln export into P3D

Post by Artysmarty73 »

hi
all my .pln files I export to P3D v4 crash when I try to load them into p3d.
If I create the same flight path via flight planner it loads and runs ok.

My Q is can I do a reverse export ie from P3D into planG so I can use the moving map facility of your great app

Could you attach the plans here? then we can take a look and see what the problem is (both the one saved by Plan-G and the one from P3D).

yes, you can open flight plans created in P3D. But you don't need to have a plan loaded to be able to use the moving map..

If you look at your plan in the Plan List view, you will see that it ends in a user waypoint (that is over the runway at Caernarfon). While that's perfectly acceptable in Plan-G, for a flight plan to load in P3D, it must start AND end at an airport. It can't start at a user waypoint, and it can't end at a user waypoint. That is a limitation of p3D.

Change your flight plan to end with an airport node, and it'll load fine :)
