I have noticed that recently, when hovering the mouse over major airports, there is a significant pause between the right click and the options appearing. I have just discovered that I can't add KPHL to my flight plan, the pause appears permanent, interspersed with displays of the egg-timer. Can this be fixed? |

As an experiment I repeated the hover over KPHL on my flying PC, and it appears to work ok. My flying machine has an i9-9700X CPU with 32 GB RAM, my planning machine has an i7-9700 CPU with 32 GB RAM, so maybe the extra power is crucial. |

Booting up in safe mode allows the addition of KPHL to the plan, but several seconds pass between the hover and the initial box display, and then after the right click before the menu appears. While experimenting I found similar delays at KJFK - I guess the more to load into the right click menu, the longer the delay. |

Thinking about it, the only options in the right click menu I use are (a) Add [ICAO Code] to Plan, and (b) Show Airport Diagram. Maybe an answer would be to display just these two if a shifted right click was entered? |

The issue is with the amount of time it takes to pull the KPHL record from the database. Unfortunately MSFS is incredibly inefficient about the way it stores airport data, compared to earlier & other sims. I'll see if I can rewrite the queries more efficiently, particularly when it comes to these massive airports. |
