Remove AI Traffic Labels? or all AI Traffic?

Is there a way to have the traffic UI displaying and active but not to have their associated labels with them?
I just find that with the labels the screen is just too busy.
Or another question is - can the traffic be turned off completely? I changed the traffic distance to 0 (zero) but the system needs a positive number so I changed it to 1

There's no option to change labels, but you can turn traffic off via Options->Traffic
