Plan-G / Re: 3.2.1.151 Update
April 19, 2018, 09:55:10 AM
Hi Tim,

Is it possible for your next update to include a button on the Home Toolbar that Clears the Breadcrumb Trail (normally under File|Options|Breadcrumb Trail|Clear).

Quite often I am practicing circuits and using Plan-G to see where I can improve on these.  Its fairly hard to do a touch and go, keep flying, and use the mouse on the other screen to reset the trail.

Thanks in advance if this is all possible

Cheers
Rick

If not already doing so then make sure you are running both xpuipc and PlanG as Administrator.

Thanks. Forgot to mention that v3.3.113 works ok on same setup, if that helps.

Plan-G / Using Radio Stack crashes PlanG
November 16, 2017, 03:43:29 AM
Hi,

I'm using PlanGV3.2.0.144, connecting to XP11 v11.0.5.1 with XP Wide Client v2.0.0.0

Every time I use the Radio Stack to alter the radios or AP PlanG crashes.

There is nothing in the log.txt which indicates why.

Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong or is this a bug?

Thanks Rick

Yup - Run As Administrator was the culprit - thanks Ian

Hi Tim,

I've got the same problem as reported by fmrr94 on Oct 12 (Reply #290).   I am using PlanG v.3.2.0.144.  I have installed DotNet 4.6.2.
PlanG loads up correctly and loads the databases but will not connect to XP-11.  I am connecting to XP11 using XPWideClient over a network.

I can run v3.1.3.113 perfectly with the same setup.

Log.txt attached which shows XPUIPC errors

Any ideas on what to do here

Thanks
Rick

Hang fire -  have just read another post with similar problems.  It may be that I was not running as administrator.  Will check tomorrow after work

Plan-G / Radio Stack not displaying correctly
June 12, 2016, 10:21:34 AM
Hi all,

I'm running Plan-G on MS Surface Pro 3 and Windows 10.  My Radio Stack is not displaying properly in that the right and bottom edges are cut off. Hopefully this screen shot shows it.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

Again thanks for help

Plan-G / I seem to be missing data
May 31, 2016, 11:13:59 AM
Hi All,

We'll finally after getting network issues sorted out I now think I have database problems.

I am running X-Plane 10 on one Windows 7 PC and Plan-G on a second Windows 7 PC.  Because the Plan-G PC is a bit old and slow I created the Plan-G database on the X-Plane PC and then copied it across.

When I view the map data I cannot see any of the navigational aids that should be there.  I can also not get any of the airport diagrams to show and only partial information in the Information window is shown. That is navigational and frequency data is not displayed.

When I created the database is took a heck of a long time (hours).  The database build appeared to stall at the Write Airports part but a check of the log (attached) showed that the build was still processing. Oh and the reason the log time stops at 06:58 is because I had left it running all night and 06:58 am was when I closed the Update window

Any ideas/solutions

EDIT: I've only got scenary loaded for NZAR, NZAA and NZWN - would that make a difference?

Thanks
Rick

I've just fixed my similar issue by turning off Windows Firewall

Ok I've solved it.  My Windows firewalls were preventing X-Plane master from receiving UDP packet returns.

Thanks for those that responded to this post

Did you get this to work as I am having a similar problem?

Nope that didnt work.  Checking XPUIPC settings from within X-Plane tells me that there is no Client connected. I think I need to see if any UDP packets are being sent out from X-Plane. WireShark may help

Both PCs are logged in as Adminstrators.

Should I try starting X-Plane with Run As Administrator command on one PC and start with RunAsAdministratotr for XPWideClient and Plan-G on the other PC
